Contento
Could someone please tell Mathias Silberbauer not to close the only proper pintxos/tapas spot in Copenhagen as per 21/12?! Get your ass down there and let him know, before it’s too late!
Toldbod Bodega
237 years old classic Danish restaurant with brun sovs and rejecocktails.
Dzidra
Aaaaand we have a winner of the “first reappearance on the guide”-award. Dzidra brought their sticky toffee pudding back on the program, so therefore I brought them back on the list.
Seks
I consider this tip a sort of public service: while Seks is a very lovely café with great coffee and one of the most innovative café menus in town, their collection of cookbooks from around the world is the real draw for me. They have thousands!
Det Ny Scala
Many bodegas around town are getting modern-ish revamps these days, but Det Ny Scala were one of the first and are still one of the best choices for a no-smoke beer.
Calma
I can’t believe I’m adding another Italian spot to this list, but to hell with it. Calma is proper bene.
Ranees
Hella spicy thai on Nørrebro. Industry favourite.
Bistro Boheme
You need to bring your big-guy pants with big-guy pockets for this big French monster of a classic bistro.
Café Viggo
This been-there-forever-French-café has some of the best heat lamps in town. And that my friends is not to be taken lightly if you fancy some outdoor drinking and dining this freezy season. Good people-watching too.
Leo’s Pizza
Is it a secret gem? Well, maybe? But word is that they’re really Italians, and vibes are perfectly unpretentious and the pies are good and not sourdough which is nice sometimes (yes, I said it).
